ℹ️ Tourist Tax vs. Access Fee

These are two different charges:

• Access Fee: applies to day-trippers visiting Venice without overnight stay
• Tourist Tax: applies to anyone staying overnight in accommodation within the Municipality of Venice

Even if you are exempt from the Access Fee, you must still pay the Tourist Tax if you stay overnight. This tax helps fund local tourist services.
